More fun in the snow.

They may have preferred a day off school, but a snowy morning at the bus stop is fun too.

It looks like our future doesn’t include naps. Looking on the bright side, it may now include more fun afternoon trips to the Museum Center.

I can still lift them up… barely.

Recreations Outlet is always fun, but we especially enjoy it when it’s not crowded on a Madeira Moms play date morning (last Friday).

We had our third Daisy Girl Scouts meeting today. I forgot to take a picture of everyone at the meeting, but Nora and Abby were willing to pose for me later so they could show off our craft and our custom t-shirts. The girls earned the “considerate and caring” petal of the Daisy flower. I read them the book “Have You Filled a Bucket Today,” they decorated their own buckets, made caring droplets, played a bucket-filler game, had a snack, and got psyched about cookie season. All in all, it was a good meeting!

We had a great time eating dinner out at Dewey’s Pizza! The pizza was delicious. Gwen enjoyed watching football and everyone tried a lemon.

With school back in session, we had another Girls Night yesterday with a bunch of enthusiastic neighborhood girls. They had a snack, painted two suncatchers each and then played together. And, I received a really nice surprise from the girls and their parents. I think our weekly Girls Night is here to stay! It kind of feels official now.

How fast they change their minds
While talking to Josie I casually say “Gwen’s favorite color is yellow.” Gwen, listening from the other room, exclaims “Mom! My favorite color is not yellow anymore! I like brown, and blue, and lavender!” Now who will wear all those yellow shirts!

Josie is still very enthusiastic about celebrating the new year.
