Our biggest Harry Potter fan turned 7 today!

Free kids bowling was a super fun way to spend a chilly summer day. With 100 points, Josie was the winner today.

Abby was not happy about going to the library, but it turns out that big girls do still like storytime!

These rascals made lunch for us today. They like, and I mean really like, being generous with their spices. I was surprised by the crunchy, salty interior of their lettuce wraps, and Josie’s breath still smelled heavily of garlic at bedtime.

I somehow forgot to post the pictures from Abby’s end of the school year class party. Gwen, Josie, and I brought and served the very popular ice cream sundaes.

Girl date #1: This summer, two girls get to spend their Thursday with Grandma and Grandpa Moose while one girl goes on an adventure with me. Gwen and I spent the morning hiking at Sharon Woods while Abby and Josie had fun with their grandparents at the Zoo.

I’m a bit obsessed with before and after shots. Our backyard in 2003, 2014, and now. A lot can change with love or neglect!

When they grow up

Today at dinner, Abby told us that she plans to own a pet store with Nora when she grows up. (Past ideas were rock-n-roll star, doctor, firefighter.) Josie says she’ll be a chef or an astronaut. Gwen wants to be a veterinarian specializing in dogs.

This part of my Mother’s Day cards makes me especially happy.
