We enjoyed a prelude to spring today with a nice walk around the cul-de-sac at Auntie Mel’s house. We had a fun first too. The babies very happily did their own walking!

Just my style
We passed a classic 1950’s powder blue Chevy on the highway. I thought to myself that I would never want an old car like that. When Abby saw the car, she said “I love that! It’s just my style!” Kids are so funny!

Gwen and Josie had a blast mastering the art of drinking small amounts of water from a regular cup tonight. Saying “more water please” was pushing it a bit too far, but Josie did smile and say “more” multiple times. Yay!

We all played in the snow today! The girls enjoyed sledding with their Papa. Gwen didn’t care for the snow quite as much as Josie and Abby. After her first forward fall, she decided it made good sense to stay mostly in one place. Josie attempted to wander around in the deep snow and wasn’t bothered by her many snowy faces. Abby enjoyed climbing on the huge snow piles, making snow angels, and sledding. Big girls can have all the fun.

A story from another snowy day: We were all playing with toy cars and trucks in the hallway. I sent the ice cream truck zooming down to Abby and told her that I was sending her some ice cream. Josie thought that sounded like a great idea and ran to the kitchen where she started pounding on the freezer door. We didn’t have any ice cream, but I gave them all popsicles instead. The girls loved them. It almost felt like summer. When Abby finished hers, she tossed her wrapper in the trash and said “that hit the spot.” She then walked away saying “this is the life.” So true!

Fifteen months old today and already budding artists. If only someone would take the tops off the markers.
