Christmas morning

The most often heard saying this morning: “I got a witch!” So far, the favorite present.

“These look just like our labels!” And John thought I was being silly for insisting we buy new wrapping paper for Santa’s presents instead of using what we already had. She’s so observant!

Josie, what should we have for dinner?

“Pizza pie!”

I think we ate our pizza. We don’t have any more.

I’m shocked by how much 1⁄3 of a cord of firewood is, and impressed with my stacking helpers!

We all had a good time this morning at the Moeller Rugby Breakfast with Santa. Craft time with “Tickle Monster” Joey was especially popular. It took nearly two hours, but the girls eventually warmed up to the idea of visiting with Santa. Abby said she was going to test him to see if he was the real Santa by asking him if he had reindeer. He passed!

A surprise

I asked the girls about their favorite color. Josie said pink, and Abby said pink and purple. No surprises there. Gwen, on the other hand, said yellow!

I get tears, but Gwen is all smiles when Abby brushes her teeth. I guess we have to go with what works!

How does one entertain five little kids? By letting them design and then play with homemade “tennis rackets” and “balls.”

The girls played outside for an hour today. Yay for snowsuits, waterproof gloves, and snow boots. Too bad I don’t have snow boots or a snowsuit. Guess what I’m asking Santa (John) for this year.
