Vacation day 6: We swam, said our good-byes to Auntie Em and kitties, drove back to Asheville, swam some more, and started to feel ready to soon be home again.

Vacation day 5: Dolphins and sharks were the highlights of our day! Mom and Tim joined us for a wonderful dolphin tour, and a surprise evacuation from the water at Coligny beach due to sharks!

Vacation day 4: We took a ferry over to the beautiful Cumberland Island National Seashore today. It was incredible to see wild horses and manatees. Unfortunately, hiking with little ones in the Georgia heat is not much fun. One day, perhaps we’ll go back to see the ruins and the other side of the island.

Vacation day 3: We had a blast playing at the beach on Hilton Head Island. It was their first time at the ocean, and Gwen and Josie loved it! Gwen especially liked crashing into the waves. Abby and Josie really liked playing in the sand.

After a long time of only ordering fries, Gwen, our cheeseburger lover, finally convinced Josie to try a junior cheeseburger deluxe. Josie declared it to be “the best cheeseburger ever!” However, she ordered it with “none of that brown stuff.”

Today was the final day of our fun, but exhausting week at Girl Scout camp. The girls played “all camp games” and cooled off with a walk in the creek.

Day four of Girl Scout camp was filled with outdoor art, and science experiments – sun transfers, painting, nature photography, gloop, coke rockets, dancing raisins, static electricity, homemade sorbet. The girls also played a much needed, long game of “drip, drip, drench.”

Our first two days of Girl Scout camp at French Park were super fun! The girls hiked, tie-dyed t-shirts, played games like “drip drip drench,” made wind chimes, painted, sent PAs to “jail,” and more. Three more days to go – and tomorrow Gwen and Josie get to join the fun!
