Walk to school day!

Big day at our house! First sleepover for G&J!

They were so excited about their first day of first and fourth grade!

It’s official! I happily joined this group for new employee orientation.

After the amazing flowers badge STEM program today, Abby declared that she is going to study botany and chemistry in college so she can be a perfumist at P&G.

Summer Adventure list: Kings Island! It rained on us, but we still had a blast! Our girls were adventurous. Josie rode her first roller coaster, and loved it! Abby rode Drop Tower and every roller coaster except Diamondback and the Beast, but missed those only because we ran out of time. Gwen tried both the Racer and Adventure Express, her first two coasters outside Snoopy Land.

Auntie Em inspired us to take our braids up a notch! This mama had to learn how to French braid AND fishtail braid!

The highlight of the Kentucky Horse Park was definitely that Abby got to ride her first horse! We went on a trail ride while Gwen and Josie rode ponies at the corral.

Our quick overnight trip to Mammoth Cave and the Kentucky Horse Park was so much fun! Although Gwen and Josie weren’t quite ready to tour a cave for two hours, Abby and John loved their historic cave tour. (We enjoyed the Sloan’s Pond walk led by a park ranger.) So many great hikes, and they were sworn in as Junior Rangers!

Five years ago today! Still one of the best decisions we’ve ever made!

Summer Adventure List: Coney Island! Josie, our fearful-of-heights girl, surprised us by riding not only the ferris wheel, but also the rock-o-plane. Three times! Abby loved Wipe Out, a crazy upside down spinning ride that she was finally tall enough to ride this year. Gwen still likes the Tilt-o-whirl best.

These girls love visiting Stella, Ruby, and their chickens.
