First time roller skating!

After making “soup,” they started decorating for their “wedding party.” I loved witnessing the creativity and friendship, and was happy they took a break from their art so I could capture the moment.

These two rascals figured out how to climb the ladder and get up in the tree. Big girls!

Fun activities for a rainy morning: playing dress-up, reading the dictionary, reviewing recipes, helping to make pumpkin bread, and coloring.

These girls love Smale Riverfront Park.

Abby definitely likes soccer more now that there are only girls on her team. She even sometimes steals the ball!

Only part of our weekend was spent worrying about carpenter ants.

Oh, the things they say

During dinner tonight, Josie asks me, “Mom, do you have some milk in your nursies?”

No, Josie, no milk in my nursies.

“But there’s a baby here,” she replies and looks at baby Jack-Jack.

I know, but that’s not how it works. It has to be my own baby.

“Oh. Well, can you buy a baby for us?”

That’s not how we get babies, Josie.

“Yeah,” says Abby. “They come out your tush!”

The girls are huge fans of Ms. Amy’s storytime at the Covington Library. I think of it as an hour of free preschool. Just look at the cool things they get to do during activity time.

The Boy Scouts know how to host a great party. The view of the WEBN fireworks from Mt. Adams was awesome!

Are there meetings?

Abby and I made a book today while her sisters napped. It includes her star words from this week and last (like, I, can, we). She was so proud that she even read it to Emma.
